Around  9:00 p.m. August the third 2026 all trace of band four UHF TV disappeared in the southeast of England at Cm3. It had been working fine earlier, and I have recorded episodes of Stargate and Star Trek without trouble from Sky Mix (Freeview) FW ch11).

So I did a quick check of the obvious to ensure that power cables were plugged in - but the antenna signal was absolutely gone - and on other previously working FW devices. The only other anomolous thing I noticed was a PIR LED 75W flood light had come on outside the office door. I didn't see any likely culprit (cat?) and the light stayed on for well past it's notional timeout ...

So I deceided to outline a plot that ties several things together, based in this real event.
